I ordered this pair of Prada shoes in August, and they *finally* arrived... but they were well worth waiting for:

other pair I bought. I think I actually prefer the new variant without the raffia/rope, at least for winter...
I can't tell you how much I love them. I'm pretty joyless really, but these shoes make me very happy. As does this quilted nylon T-shirt by Jil Sander (by Raf Simons) from the FW11 runway show, another recent purchase:
I'm only really wearing black and dark grey at the moment (once you start, the idea of wearing bright colours again seems unfathomable), so luckily I managed to track down the black version. The T-shirt is so beautifully made, and it brings elements of women's couture into menswear with its structured, architectual shape, and concealed zips. It's also unbelievably comfortable, like wearing a lightweight duvet.

ReplyDeleteDid they really take 3 months to receive??! The SA's at the Prada store said it would be 6-8 weeks tops. I ordered them early October.
whats your t-shirt size ? is it a large one?

ReplyDeleteThere was a delay on the pair I ordered because the factories in Italy are shut for all of August. Normally it wouldn't take more than 2 months.
The T-shirt is size M / eu 48.
Ah so we have the same shoes now... I like how you managed to make "couture" seem thug :-)
