I know that everyone is supposed to be getting excited about beige and 'camel' at the moment (if that is even possible, without being some sort of oxymoron), but Mary Katrantzou's work is just fantastic and she is noted, of course, for her bright, bold prints. Katrantzou (who is a young, London-based designer) is one of my favourite designers of the moment, because her prints are so bold and uplifting, and so modern and luxurious. Print is always a high-risk area in fashion, but Katrantzou executes everything beautifully (Anna Dello Russo is a fan). I was particularly reminded of this fact when I came across these close-up shots of her FW10 collection:
The spring/summer 2010 collection, which is in stores now, does not disappoint either:
Dress from Luisa via Roma.
Dresses from Browns.
Skirt from Colette.
So good! See more on her website (disregard the ridiculous Coco Chanel quote).
