Image source here.This isn't really a fashion post, but having just re-watched Truffaut's La Peau Douce (The Soft Skin) I am slightly (re) obsessed with Françoise Dorléac, Catherine Deneuve's stunningly beautiful older sister who died in a car accident, aged 25, in 1967.

Image source here.In the film, which is one of Truffaut's lesser known titles today, Dorléac plays an air hostess who starts having an affair with a famous publisher called Pierre Lachenay. The film, which is very stylishly shot, becomes quite a dark exploration of the love triangle that results, and it is very worth watching. Unfortunately the DVD version I watched had very poor subtitles, and my French is not that good, but I am so obsessed with polished 60s style (clothes, hair, architecture.. even the cars and planes in this film have a real style to them), as seen on film, particularly French films, that it didn't really matter.
