Kerry Taylor Vintage Fashion Auctions

London based Kerry Taylor Auctions are dedicated to selling vintage and antique fashion and textiles, and often they sell stunning, museum quality pieces. Their next sale is tomorrow (Wednesday 17th June 2009, at 2pm) and it includes many amazing items from pre 1800 right up to the 1990s. Just browsing the catalogue (here) is like visiting some sort of fantastical fashion museum online. Here's a selection of what will go under the hammer tomorrow:

1970s Hermès Kelly bags, estimated at £3,500 - £5,000 each.

As well as clothes and accessories, they sell vintage Vogues and fashion illustrations. Estimated at £400 - £600 is a collection of British Vogue from 1932 to 1934, or a collection of American Vogue from 1919 to 1927.

An English aristocrat's wedding dress from around 1825, estimated at £1,000 to £1,500.

1930s Jeanne Lanvin couture green velvet outfit, estimated at £600 - £1,000; love the detail of the sleeves.

Update: the Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture Russian Collection dress sold for £17,000 and the Christian Dior Haute Couture AW '52 dress also sold well above the estimate for £11,000.   2. Hermes bags are to die for. I have one of those and its like one of my most priced possession. I wish I have enough balance so i can afford the black one! Thanks for sharing and more power to you!
