We rather love Kostas Murkudis' SS09 collection: there's something interesting about subversion and eroticism (the bondage straps and sheer fabrics, which leave little to the imagination, worn over skin colour underwear) played out against such a pure, white colour pallet, while the harsh minimalism keeps the collection feeling interesting as opposed to tasteless. Construction is subtle but skillful, and we find the overall aesthetic rather beautiful.Murkudis used to design for Helmut Lang, which is probably why he has this minimalist, slightly futuristic look worked out so well, while his brother, Andreas, owns the scarily hip Berlin store Andreas Murkudis.
