Although we always have a slight weakness for this sort of thing, honestly give us the mad Fendi paint-your-own, which we reported on last year, instead any day because Wayfarers have been rather over-done recently, and we think coloured ones look pretty rubbish anyway. Actually, on reflection, paint-your-own is probably best confined to that $15 pencil-case kit you had as a kid, not to expensive designer accessories.
Oddly when we reported on the Fendi paint-your-own, we combined it with some Raf Simons news (or not as it turned out), and uncannily we were planning to do the same again without realising. The Raf Simons x Dr. Martens collaboration, announced last summer, is going ahead and will be available to buy later in the year, according to 'Hypebeast' (it's a site about sneakers, not the name of some freaky friend of ours). Pictures so far show some cut-out sandal/shoes, and some heavy-sole shoes, rather similar to the ones from his fall/winter 2008 collection.
